PRODUCTION SAFETY MANAGER, College of Communication, Film & Television
This position will be responsible for providing production safety guidance to the Department of Film and Television at Boston University to faculty, staff and students working on production related entities producing theatrical motion picture, television and other content on local productions. This person will work closely with the Risk Management Office of the University, production personnel, Regulatory Agencies and various other city and state departments to reinforce safety standards in all our productions. This position may also be asked to work on general safety and environmental matters. Students in the Department of Film and Television produce and shoot well over 300 film projects ranging from 3-20 minutes each year. The Production Safety Manager will train students in production safety procedures, vet all projects for potential safety issues and oversee student productions in-regards to safety. 7 years safety experience required, preferably 5 years in the entertainment industry working with productions, television or features, including action shows, reality television, single and multi-camera strongly preferred.
Required Skills
Bachelors degree with 5-8 years of related experience.
