PROJECT MANAGER, Wheelock College of Education and Human Development
The position of Project Manager is to join our research team and contribute to leading and overseeing the work of a major NIH funded clinical trial. The grant, titled 'Can A Youth Civic Leadership, Engagement and Mindfulness Program Reduce Structural Racism, and Support Functioning and Well-being for Youth of Color?' will study the implementation of a civic engagement and mindfulness afterschool program at sites in Boston and Chicago. We have one project manager in place but have found the need to hire a second one to meet project objectives in a timely manner.
The Project Manager will work closely with researchers and collaborators to manage the daily activities of the project, including implementation of study activities, and partnership with community partners. They will collaborate in discussions with the community partners to establish research systems and protocols, and will support this process throughout the intervention testing and evaluation of feasibility and sustainability. They will oversee one of the two study interventions, taking part in the preparation of key materials, interview guides, manuals and resources for the project, including overseeing training and supervision for facilitators. The Project Manager will also assist with participant recruitment and consent. They will conduct qualitative interviews with youth and facilitators, and observe program implementation.
Some of this work will occur in evening and weekend hours, as well as on-site at locations in Boston, with the possibility of travel to Chicago.
