  • Responsibilities

    The American Law Program at Boston University School of Law seeks an instructor to teach Advanced Legal Writing- Essentials for the Bar Exam for the Spring 2025 semester, which begins January 15, 2025. This three-credit course focuses on developing the critical lawyering skills needed to succeed on the Multistate Performance Test (MPT) of the Uniform Bar Exam -- and to succeed in the practice of law: the ability to analyze and apply relevant law to specific factual situations to perform a lawyering task in writing. The course focuses on developing analytical and writing skills in the American legal tradition. The class will also expose students to specific writing approaches, outlining and issue spotting techniques, and time management strategies.

    Required Skills

    Prior teaching experience in legal research and writing is required. Experience with LLM students is a plus.
