    Minimum Qualifications: A Master’s degree from an accredited institution in music required with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in music. Music generalist with an emphasis upon jazz and commercial piano, music theory and history.

    **Essential Functions/Duties:
    **

    • Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course
      Information sheets.

    • Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as may be scheduled or required.

    • Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course.

    • Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/ or select course-related materials.

    **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    **

    • Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students.
    • Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.
    • Computer literate and able to navigate in a Windows environment.

    APPLICATION DEADLINE: This is a pool position for temporary, part-time adjunct teaching position. Applicants will be accepted on a continuing basis and reviewed when positions become available. Applications will remain active for one full calendar year.

    All Adjunct positions are part-time, temporary assignments (for no more than one semester at a time) dependent upon student enrollment and the instructional needs of the College.

    • Customer and Personal Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
    • Equipment Maintenance: Knowledge of Point Eight Power products and equipment. Use of tools such as wrench, screwdrivers, ratchets/sockets, tape measures, and torque wrenches.
    • Technical Services: Extensive knowledge of processes as related to our products.
    • Safety Compliance: The ability to recognize unsafe work habits. Understanding of OSHA regulations.
    • Verbal & Written Communication Skills: Intermediate skills required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
    • Math Skills: Intermediate skills required, including ability to calculate figures/discounts, proportions, area, etc.
    • Computers and Electronics: Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming such as Microsoft Office Business Suite.
    • Production and Processing : Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
    • Quality Control Analysis: Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
    • ISO 9001 Quality Management System: knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System Requirements.
