    Job Description

    This key position is responsible for the steering and management of various strategically relevant projects and will represent the Head of Operations Americas in the relevant steering committees. This involves implementing various operations projects in the Americas (LATAM and NA) according to corresponding project plans (in scope, budget, and timeline). In particular, it must be ensured that project coordination between the local country organizations, the Americas region, and the Sika Group runs smoothly and in joint coordination. Furthermore, other strategically relevant topics, such as operational efficiency or digitalization, can be assigned to the position holder, always with the objective of ensuring that the activities and initiatives in the region and with the national companies are coordinated and aligned accordingly.

    EDUCATION :

    • BA/BS Degree in one of the following fields: Engineering, Business Administration, or Construction Management.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 5 years in engineering project management / Process development
    • Proficient in project leadership and methodology, including budgeting, cost/benefit analysis, process design and validation, and risk and change management.

    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

    • Hands-on problem-solving and organizational skills. Able to analyze and dissect complex problems, identify technical and business risks, and lead teams and individuals in constructively seeking options.
    • Capability to drive decisions and present proposals effectively to senior management.
    • Ability to balance technical proficiencies with business perspectives. Industrial Planning and Design, including Process Optimization
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with teams and departments such as Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Procurement, Marketing, Sales, as well as suppliers.
    • In-depth knowledge of continuous improvement concepts
    • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts
    • Familiarity with commercial software for project management (examples: MS Project, Smartsheet), design, and process flow (AUTOCAD, Visio, or similar). SAP knowledge is a benefit.
    • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Requires 35% traveling as needed
