  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Perform sales activities in a designated Philadelphia area to increase market share and drive top line sales performance.
    • • Recommend sales forecast, discount targets, budgeted expenditures, monitoring deviations and initiating corrective action to achieve sales and profit (C2) goals.
    • Partner with management to develop and drive sales growth plans.
    • Approach and assist DIY customers with projects. Recommend and sell Sika products. Cross merchandise related products throughout the store.
    • Work with THD Pro Sales Managers on shared leads to drive incremental sales opportunities. Engage with Pro customers on each store sales call. Present to customers Sika products along with features / benefits.
    • Maintain bay, sales aides and Point of Purchase (POP) materials.
    • Aggressively and continually identify opportunities to secure wing stacks, bulk stacks, end caps, and stack outs to create impactful product displays.
    • Plan and participate in store specific events. Invite key customers, sell in additional product for displays and demos; follow up on sales leads.
    • Train and demo product to associates and consumers during sales calls.
    • Plan and conduct weekend and after hours training events in stores. Participate in all Major Market Training and road show events as scheduled.
    • Ensure automatic replenishment system is supplying sufficient product to support rate of sale.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Prior experience with merchandising, retail operations or contractor segment and selling experience preferred.
    • Self-directed/motivated and drive for results oriented.
    • Solid computer/ time management/prioritization skills, strong oral and written presentation skills. Ability to build relationships with and influence a wide array of personality types from diverse backgrounds.
    • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
    • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
    • Ability to work seasonal sales hours, including assigned Saturdays, is required during peak season (typically April through October).
    • Outside travel may be required throughout the year assisting in other territories.
