One of the best things about teaching for Kaplan is the flexible schedules! We run classes continually throughout the year, so there are always opportunities to be involved - especially if you are interested in teaching multiple tests. Most class schedules meet on weeknights and/or weekend mornings, so the hours do not conflict with a full-time job or student course load. Most instructors teach twice per week, for a total of 6-8 hours in the classroom. These hours are set ahead of time, but you work with your manager to select the best teaching schedules for you. You can teach multiple classes concurrently if the schedules do not conflict. Furthermore, instructors enjoy the opportunity to spend half their time working from home. Kaplan provides you with the necessary lesson plans and pays you for the time you spend prepping them. Kaplan also pays you for the time you spend in training, meeting with your manager, reviewing student results, emailing students, and so on. These hours are also flexible and completed from home. At the end of each full class, you select a new schedule and start fresh with a new batch of students!

To qualify, you must have a SAT or ACT score (either on the official test or a Kaplan practice test) at or above the 90th percentile, or an 80th percentile GRE or GMAT score.
