Under the guidance of the Associate Vice President for Talent Recruitment Services, the Senior Recruiter (Senior Recruitment Specialist/ Senior Staffing Specialist) is responsible for recruiting and managing talent projects aligned with Boston University's strategy to attract and hire top talent. This role drives initiatives aimed at attracting diverse talent, ensuring a seamless recruitment process, and enhancing the candidate experience. The Senior Recruiter (Senior Recruitment Specialist/ Senior Staffing Specialist) will work closely with HR liaisons and hiring managers, supporting key recruitment and talent acquisition projects across the University.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Full Recruitment Lifecycle: Oversee the entire recruitment process, from job posting to offer negotiation to hire.
- Partner with Hiring Managers: Collaborate with hiring managers to identify, engage, and hire talent that aligns with the University's business goals.
- Act as a Talent Advisor: Provide market intelligence, industry trends, and insights into talent pipelines, acting as a strategic adviser to the business.
- Ensure Best-in-Class Candidate Experience: Deliver a positive candidate experience, maintaining clear communication throughout the hiring process.
- Track Requisition and Candidate Activity: Update and track requisition and candidate progress in the ATS to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop Sourcing Strategies: Implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract a diverse mix of candidates from multiple channels.
- Project Leadership : Lead recruitment-related projects and workgroups, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones and successful execution of initiatives. Collaborate closely with the AVP to align project objectives with institutional goals, providing regular updates and ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Other duties as assigned by the AVP, TRS as requested.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience accepted.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition.

- Sourcing Expertise: Proven ability to develop and implement advanced sourcing techniques and strategies.
- Workforce Insight: Strong knowledge of workforce trends, allowing alignment of recruitment strategies with Boston University's needs.
- Recruitment Excellence: Demonstrated success in building and advancing recruitment strategies that result in optimal hiring outcomes and an improved candidate experience.
