    The Senior Admissions Representative position at Azusa Pacific University is critical in recruiting and enrolling a diverse and talented freshman class. The ideal candidate will have a passion for higher education, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in admissions or a related field. Additionally, this role will involve assisting the Associate Director of Traditional Undergraduate (TUG) Admissions in leading the freshman recruitment team to achieve enrollment goals.

    Required Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree required

    Required Experience

    • One to two years of experience in admissions, sales, customer service, or a related field.

    Primary Duties/Essential Functions

    • Meet Enrollment Goals:

    • * Achieve targets for moving inquiries to applicants, applicants to admitted students, admitted students to deposits, and deposits to enrolled students.
      
      • Directly impact tuition revenue generation.
    • Prospective Student Engagement:

      • Represent Azusa Pacific University at college fairs, high school visits, and community events to promote the university's programs and opportunities.
      • Support prospective students throughout the admissions process, including application review, financial aid advising, and enrollment steps.
      • Establish and maintain relationships with high school counselors and other key influencers in the college decision-making process.
    • Service-Level Agreement Compliance:

      • Make 50 outbound calls per day.
      • Respond to emails and voice messages within one business day.
    • Application Evaluation:

      • Evaluate and make admissions decisions on freshman applications based on established criteria and guidelines.
      • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a holistic review process that aligns with the university’s mission and goals.
    • Team Leadership:

      • Mentor and provide guidance to junior admissions representatives.
      • Coordinate and manage training and on-boarding for new team members.
      • Assist the AD in leading the freshman recruitment team to meet and exceed enrollment goals.
      • Participate in the development and implementation of team strategies and initiatives to enhance recruitment efforts.
      • Provide support and leadership in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
      • Oversee assigned Admissions Assistant to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard and on time.
    • Travel as Required:

      • Travel locally, domestically, or internationally to recruit prospective students.
    • Community Commitment:

      • Uphold the beliefs, values, and mission of the university.
    • Other Duties:

      • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the executive director and/or associate director.

    Physical Demands

    • Requires repetitive motion and sitting at computer keyboard.
    • Hearing and speaking on the telephone.
    • Meetings may require walking and/or driving to various University locations.
    • Ability to pull, push, bend, grasp, reach and lift up to 20 lbs.
    • Able to lift, pull, grasp, stoop to lower file drawers and reach to top of five-drawer file cabinets.
    • Availability to travel throughout fall, spring and summer recruitment seasons, as well as an occasional, developmental conference out of area.
    • Possess a valid California driver’s license.
    • Intermittent sitting, standing and walking.

    Visual Demands

    • Computer monitor and reading.

    Environment

    • Pleasant office, comfortable temperatures.

    Technologies

    • Proficient in Google Apps., Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.

    Compensation

    • Grade 10: $25.94 to $29.83 is the salary for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, APU offers a competitive benefits package.
