    The Department of Psychology is seeking an Adjunct Psychology Instructor for the Cameron University Duncan campus.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate classes (such as Family Relations, General Psychology, Counseling and Clinical Psychology) or graduate classes (such as Counseling Theories, Assessment in Personality), attend mandatory university and departmental meetings, collect assessment data for the courses, and be available to students before and after class and through email. The position requires the instructor teach day or night classes. The applicant must also provide academic transcripts, a statement of his or her teaching philosophy, and three letters of recommendation.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    M.S. in Psychology or a related field (for undergraduate classes). M.S. in Psychology or a related field and licensure in the State of Oklahoma as an LPC or LMFT (for graduate classes).

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Teaching experience in higher education; a terminal degree in Psychology or a related field.

    SALARY:

    Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

    Position Summary As a Heavy Civil Concrete Structures Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and construction oversight of large-scale concrete structures for civil engineering projects. You will work on a variety of infrastructure projects, such as bridges, dams, tunnels, and foundations, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires strong technical expertise in concrete design, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and analyze reinforced concrete structures for heavy civil engineering projects, including bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other infrastructure elements.
    • Perform structural calculations, finite element analysis, and modeling using relevant software tools.
    • Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
    • Review project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements, codes, and standards.
    • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop cost-effective and constructible solutions.
    • Provide technical support during construction, including field inspections, material testing, and quality control.
    • Evaluate existing structures, assess structural deficiencies, and recommend repair or rehabilitation solutions.
    • Conduct site investigations and assessments to gather relevant data for design and analysis.
    • Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for concrete structures.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advances in concrete technology.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred.
    • Minimum of [X] years of experience in heavy civil engineering with a focus on concrete structures.
    • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or similar.
    • Strong knowledge of ACI (American Concrete Institute) codes and AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) standards.
    • Experience with construction practices and methods related to concrete construction.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
    • Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD/BIM software is a plus.

    Education/Experience


    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or Construction related field preferred
    • 5 – 7 years of heavy civil construction experience required
    • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and HCSS Heavy Bid is a plus
    • Basic knowledge of estimating, change order pricing and change management
