The CSI Trade and Industry Department is seeking applicants for a full-time, 9-month Welding Instructor position for fall semester starting October, 2021. The successful candidate will instruct students in welding processes and metal fabrication. Work also includes planning, scheduling, student recruitment, and curriculum development. The position involves analyzing community and industry needs and developing positive relationships with industry partners. The instructor coordinates work with other instructional personnel including purchasing, enrollment management, and other activities. This is a full-time 9-month faculty position requiring qualification for an Idaho Professional-Technical Postsecondary teaching credential. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must possess current Idaho driver’s license to travel to the CSI Jerome Center, professional development events, for recruitment purposes, for field trips, and to visit cooperative training sites. Successful applicant will work directly with 12-20 students in classroom, laboratory, and supervised work experience environments. Use of welding equipment and hand tools will be necessary and lifting (up to 50 lbs.) will be necessary at times.
