WBUR has a 261-seat performance and event venue called CitySpace, which hosts an array of events including live interviews, podcast tapings, cooking demonstrations, film screenings, political debates, storytelling competitions, concerts and other artistic performances. The venue can also be rented for public and private events including conferences, lectures, receptions, dinners, weddings and retirement parties.
The right candidate will have experience running Back of House (BOH) and Front of House (FOH), running an audio mixing console, and operating video equipment to livestream and record events which are archived on our website and used for marketing and promotion.
The Technical Associate reports to the Assistant Director of CitySpace and will work closely with two Technical Directors to support all technical aspects of each event. Most events take place on weekday afternoons and evenings, but there are occasional weekend events. Flexibility in scheduling is a must.
