To deliver student centered, engaging and motivating lessons
Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health
Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests. In particular student centered teaching methods and differentiated instruction shall be applied in all lessons
Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate
Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guest speakers or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those activities
Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, moral and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling
Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students' needs and progress
Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students
Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations
To create schemes of work and produce quality resources
To use ICT and other learning technology when planning and implementing the lessons
To monitor and report student progress constantly
To engage parents in their child’s education
To take active part in the on-going school development process
To promote safety and well-being of all students
To participate in a variety of meetings and professional development activities
A Bachelor’s degree in Education or any field supplemented by a post-graduate teaching certificate. (A Master’s degree in Education is preferred)
Native speaker English proficiency
Recent criminal police record check certificate
Vocation to teach, share and learn
A genuine care, concern and interest for children
Experience in working with international school curricula
Good knowledge of “Understanding by Design” curriculum, unit and lesson planning
High intercultural sensibility
Ability of creating an interactive, student-centered learning environment
Only Full-time teachers are entitled to school paid visas.
First and second year of employment:
The school will pre-pay the 1 year-visa costs at employment start with exception of the 1 month entry visa.
50% of the pre-paid visa costs will be deducted in equal amounts from the employee’s first three paychecks. The other 50% of the costs will be borne by the employer.
If an employee ends employment with CIA prior to reimbursing their portion of visa costs, the balance of these costs will be deducted from the employee’s last paycheck.
The school will also pre-pay the 1 year-visa costs for the second year of employment.
After second year of employment:
There is no pre-payment by the school.
The school will reimburse the full 1 year-visa costs at the end of the school year.
The School Director is authorized to grant the reimbursement in two parts (semestral).
