    Are you a motivated leader with a passion for fitness and a knack for team building? Texas Family Fitness is looking for a dynamic Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead our gym’s success, elevate member experiences, and inspire our team to excel. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the AGM plays a crucial role in achieving membership and revenue goals, overseeing daily operations, and fostering a positive, results-oriented environment.

    This position is ideal for a fitness-driven leader ready to make a difference, develop a high-performing team, and grow within a community-focused gym.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead and Develop an Exceptional Team

    Inspire and Supervise – Lead by example to support the gym staff, ensuring all team activities align with company goals and values.

    Drive Sales Success – Implement sales strategies to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets for memberships and services.

    Operational Excellence – Oversee facility maintenance and safety to ensure a clean, safe, and inviting gym environment.

    Recruit and Retain Talent – Support the hiring and performance management of team members to build a strong, motivated staff.

    Enhance Member Experience and Facility Standards

    Elevate Member Engagement – Engage with members on the gym floor, creating a welcoming and encouraging environment.

    Uphold High Standards – Ensure the facility maintains top standards in cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company protocols.

    Support Departmental Cohesion – Guide the Personal Training, Front Desk, and Kids Club teams to foster a cohesive, high-energy atmosphere.

    Build and Drive the Sales Team

    Train for Success – Coach the Sales Team to generate leads and grow memberships through promotions, referrals, and guest passes.

    Foster an Ambitious Culture – Set challenging, attainable goals for team growth and provide consistent feedback and support.

    Conduct Regular Reviews – Lead team meetings, review performance, and adjust sales strategies to achieve goals.

    Motivate and Recognize – Cultivate a positive work culture that motivates the team and celebrates achievements.

    Be a Leader on Duty

    Step Up as MOD – Act as Manager on Duty, handling member inquiries and staff management when the GM is not on site.

    Create Memorable Gym Tours

    Engage and Impress – Interact with guests during tours, offering personalized experiences that highlight membership benefits.

    Promote Personal Training – Demonstrate the added value of personal training as part of each member’s fitness journey.

    Drive Sales and Revenue Growth

    Exceed Membership Targets – Actively work to grow membership sales, build member relationships, and follow up on fitness progress.

    Lead by Example – Achieve personal sales targets and inspire the team to excel in their sales efforts.

    What We’re Looking For

    Education and Certification

    High school diploma or GED required.

    Current CPR certification.

    College coursework or a bachelor’s degree is a plus.

    Experience

    Proven management experience in sales or service-based industries, ideally leading teams of 3-10 employees.

    Fitness industry or membership sales experience is a strong advantage.

    Skills and Qualities

    Strong leadership and coaching skills.

    Proficiency in sales practices and techniques.

    General knowledge of fitness industry trends.

    Computer literacy and ability to work with tech tools.

    Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.

    Self-motivated, organized, and a collaborative team player.
