    SUMMARY:

    The Associate M&A will support the entire M&A deal lifecycle from deal origination to deal execution to post-acquisition integration. During the M&A lifecycle, this role will liaise various M&A processes to provide reporting, status updates and action items for the broader M&A team. During integration management, this role will ensure proper hand off to cross functional teams to operationalize acquisitions related to onboarding and distribution. Additionally, this role will work cross functionally across the organization to troubleshoot and identify solutions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    M&A Lifecycle

    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to help identify and evaluate acquisition and investment opportunities
    • Support due diligence activities with cross functional teams relating to inputs in valuation, artist contracts, business model and strategy review
    • Engage in financial analyses of target companies and build valuation models
    • Liaise various M&A processes to provide reporting, status updates and action items for the broader M&A team.
    • Support M&A strategy with analyses of market potential, customer needs, strategic and commercial fit, and financial attractiveness

    Integration Management

    • Support the post-acquisition integration and post-deal management processes by liaising with cross functional teams to ensure successful onboarding and integration of acquired business or assets
    • Ensure the proper hand off to cross functional teams to operationalize acquisitions related to onboarding and distribution

    Corporate Finance

    • Work closely with Finance & Accounting to build financing analyses and cash-flow forecasts related to M&A
    • Prepare materials, extract data and build financial models for financing and deal approval process
    • Support financial reporting for acquired companies and assets
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to troubleshoot and identify solutions

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
    • 2+ years experience in corporate development, private equity, investment banking / M&A advisory, or consulting
    • Previous experience building detailed financial valuation/M&A models
    • Previous experience across the M&A and investment lifecycle from deal origination to deal execution and documentation, to post-acquisition integration and management
    • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
    • Strong written/verbal presentation, communication, inter-personal skills
    • Ability to gain credibility and trust with senior leaders and decision-makers
    • Solution and results oriented with ability to solve problems
    • Previous M&A music industry experience preferred
    • CFA, CPA, MBA/MFin preferred

    PAY SCALE

    • $75,000 - $80,000/annually
