    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a talented and experienced Banquet Chef to lead our kitchen team in providing exceptional culinary experiences for our banquet and event services. As the Banquet Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and delivery during large-scale events such as weddings, corporate meetings, and special occasions. You will ensure that every dish meets the highest standards of quality and service, working closely with event coordinators, kitchen staff, and front-of-house personnel.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Menu Planning & Development:

    Collaborate with the event planning team to design custom menus for various banquets and events based on client needs, dietary preferences, and seasonal ingredients. Create and innovate new dishes and buffet options that enhance guest experiences while adhering to dietary restrictions.

    Food Preparation & Presentation:

    Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all food items, ensuring they are delivered on time and to the highest standards of quality. Ensure food presentation meets the aesthetic expectations of the event while maintaining the culinary integrity of each dish.

    Staff Management & Training:

    Supervise kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and kitchen assistants, ensuring smooth and efficient operations during events.

    Provide hands-on training and development to staff on cooking techniques, food safety, and presentation standards.

    Delegate tasks and manage workflow to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations.

    Quality Control & Consistency:

    Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations, maintaining proper food storage, cleanliness, and sanitation.

    Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and taste for every event, regardless of size or complexity.

    Event Coordination & Execution:

    Collaborate with the banquet and event managers to coordinate timing, menu adjustments, and any special requests from clients.

    Actively participate in event preparation, ensuring all aspects of the kitchen’s involvement run seamlessly.

    Inventory & Ordering:

    Manage inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to ensure the kitchen is fully stocked.

    Track and control food costs, ensuring the kitchen operates within budgetary guidelines while maintaining quality.

    Customer Service & Client Relations:

    Interact with clients or event organizers when needed to ensure their culinary needs are met and to make adjustments based on feedback.

    Maintain a high level of professionalism and communication with all team members and clients.

    Qualifications:

    Education & Experience:

    Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

    Proven experience in banquet and event catering, with a strong understanding of large-scale event cooking and menu planning.

    Skills & Abilities:

    Expertise in various cooking techniques, including buffet-style service, plated meals, and stations.

    Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.

    Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.

    Creativity and a passion for culinary innovation.

    Additional Requirements:

    Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

    Strong multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.

    Ability to work effectively with a diverse team and maintain a positive work environment.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

    Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
