    Overview:

    Bring your energy and enthusiasm! The Group Exercise Instructor (GXI) is responsible for inspiring and motivating our members to achieve their health and fitness goals through dynamic group exercise classes. The GXI will design and deliver fresh, innovative workouts that cater to a diverse range of skill and fitness levels, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive environment for all participants.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Instructor Role:

    Teach proper form, technique, and exercise formats, incorporating choreography to create engaging and effective workouts.

    Utilize a variety of teaching methods to engage participants of all fitness levels, ensuring everyone feels supported and challenged.

    Safely guide members, adapting exercises to accommodate different learning styles and capabilities.

    Motivator Role:

    Lead fun, energizing, and dynamic classes that motivate members to consistently attend and participate.

    Deliver top-tier group fitness classes that enhance participation, individual performance, and enjoyment.

    Celebrate participants' achievements, whether related to personal goals, mastering specific skills, or improving overall health and well-being.

    Relationship Building:

    Build strong relationships within the community, and with members and guests, to support their health and fitness goals and encourage class participation.

    Professionally promote Group-X classes to increase awareness and participation, in line with company guidelines.

    Continuously monitor and engage with class participants to ensure they have the best possible experience, correcting form as needed and welcoming new participants.

    Requirements:

    Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

    Certification: Current CPR Certification and a National Group Fitness Certification or Specialty Fitness Certification.

    Experience: A minimum of 1 year of prior group exercise training is highly preferred, but not required.

    Commitment: Must teach a minimum of 1 class per month.

    Knowledge: Strong understanding of safe fitness techniques, group fitness principles, basic physiology, and body mechanics.

    Physical Ability: Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading classes, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.

    Personality: Personable, enthusiastic, patient, and outgoing.

    Attitude: Positive attitude and a collaborative team player.

    Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

    Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
