Job Description:

As a Line Cook at San Jose Country Club you will play a key role in delivering high-quality dishes to our members and guests. You will work under the guidance of the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs, assisting with food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Our ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well within a team to meet the high standards of our kitchen. Prior club experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, and plate menu items in accordance with the club’s high standards

Ensure consistency and quality of food during service

Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen

Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines

Assist with inventory management and food ordering when needed

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service

Help with prep work and other kitchen duties as assigned

Adhere to all kitchen procedures and guidelines to meet the club’s standards

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar role in a high-volume kitchen (country club or fine dining experience preferred)

Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment

Ability to work quickly and efficiently without compromising quality

Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Culinary degree or equivalent experience is a plus
