    Purpose of Job

    The purpose of the Product Director job is to assist with the development of the Georgia Lottery Corporation’s (GLC) Instant, Draw and Online product offerings and related strategic initiatives. This role provides project leadership to maintain and define the GLC’s game portfolio.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Coordinates activities concerned with gathering, recording, and analyzing data about current and potential customers, competitors, and the market for the purpose of assisting in the creation of a business plan, launching new products, executing promotions, fine tuning existing products, or services, and/or expanding into new markets.

    Manages information and data gathering and planning for the implementation of new games, enhancement to current offerings, multiple product lines and marketing strategies to introduce lottery products into the market.

    Provides data-based leadership, managing project objectives/strategies along with the daily/monthly activities of the portfolio to provide recommendations based on market trends.

    Develop and launch new games that align with the GLC’s overall strategy and objectives.

    Responsible for providing optimum sales and profit results for the games portfolio.

    Accountable for game development activities including annual launch schedules, game assets, prize structure and gaming design.

    Responsible for all game attributes including price point, play style and top prize.

    Develop and manage implementation of overall game objectives and initiatives.

    Monitors market trends, analyzes, reviews, and formulates findings of market research, and works with VP of Product Development to devise and adapt a sales and marketing plan based on results and sales forecasts.

    Provides reports, trend research, records of sales versus costs, and other findings to keep management informed of progress and results on initiatives.

    Establishes working relationship with GLC’s instant and online vendors to cultivate and finalize game design, play action, prize structures, and working papers within deadlines; evaluates products developed and produced by vendors to ensure conformance with policies, work papers and contracts.

    Supports the online channel and retail partnership opportunities.

    Attends and/or presents at industry conferences to showcase the GLC’s product innovations.

    Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, or related field required. A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in product or service research and marketing, product management or product development required. Three years lottery industry experience preferred. Documented success defining and launching excellent products, demonstrated analytical skills and ability to discern emerging trends or related experience; minimum of 4 years of related management experience required; creative problem solving and data analysis, excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills required; technical statistical analysis, spreadsheet interpretation and manipulation, internet research, with experience in or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
