Job Purpose: The Assistant Mechanic/Equipment Technician will work closely with the Equipment Manger to perform required maintenance and repairs to equipment used to maintain the golf course, practice facilities, and grounds of San Jose Country Club. Some weekends required.

Education and/or Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience as a golf course equipment mechanic/ technician beneficial

Reel Mower adjustment, and maintenance beneficial

Rotary Mower adjustment, and maintenance beneficial

Golf course equipment operation beneficial

Physical Requirements

Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 50 lbs. or more., frequently. Perform frequent activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, and lifting.
