JOB TITLE: Beach Club Operations Intern
COMPENSATION: Non-Exempt (overtime eligible), hourly compensation
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Beach Club Operations Internship is aimed to give a hands-on, full picture view of how the Westchester Country Club Beach Club operates throughout the peak summer months. This position is responsible for assisting in the management of the Beach Club’s daily operations, and will include special project assignments and exposure to various operational areas of the Club based on business needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assist Director of Club Operations with aspects of day-to-day operations
Assist in supervision of team members, at times having direct supervisory responsibilities
Oversee department schedules, effectively communicating any changes/adjustments
Participate in, and at times lead, daily pre-shift meetings
Maintain active, front-facing presence around Beach Club, assuring availability to answer staff questions and assist where needed
Ensure all team members are in compliance with Club uniform and grooming policies
Contribute fresh ideas, consistently striving to improve Club operations
Participate in special projects as assigned

Excellent customer service skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
Ability to communicate effectively in English language
EDUCATION AND SKILLS:
The ideal candidate is currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a Hospitality or Management based program
Interest in Hospitality/Service industry and Management
Previous internship experience preferred, but not required
