OPIS IS HIRING A STAFFING COORDINATOR AT OPIS ISLAND LAKE CENTER IN LONGWOOD, FL. 

THE  IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE STAFFING COORDINATOR ROLE IS SOMEONE WHO IS A CARING AND COMPASSIONATE INDIVIDUAL THAT IS DEDICATED TO MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THEIR CUSTOMERS, AND WHO HAVE A DESIRE TO LEARN AND EXPAND PROFESSIONALLY IN A SUPPORTIVE, COLLABORATIVE ENVIRONMENT. STAFFING COORDINATOR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Timely posting of the nursing schedule.
• Adds names of employees signing up for extra shifts to the nursing schedule daily.
• As instructed by Director of Nursing or designated nursing supervisor replaces staff call outs.
• Daily monitoring of staffing schedule to ensure proper nursing coverage on all nursing units and alerting Director of Nursing of staffing issues promptly.
• Calculating daily and projected nursing PPD hours Utilizing appropriate tools such as but not limited to the actual versus scheduled report .
• Tracks agency and overtime usage.
• Tracks nursing employee time off requests for every scheduling period.

STAFFING COORDINATOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• PREVIOUS SCHEDULING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
• Previous experience staffing and scheduling teams of 150+ is strongly preferred
• Previous experience working in nursing homes, hospitals, ALFs, and/or home health is required
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
