POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level and works closely with Senior Human Resources Generalist and HR management in supporting designated regions.
This position carries out responsibilities in the functional areas of ADP HR management, associate relations, performance management, onboarding, benefits and HR Training. This position requires an individual who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the company. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate and business needs as well as associate goodwill.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
- A high school diploma or equivalency is required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, or Business Administration or 3-5 years of experience in related field.
- SHRM or PHR Professional Certification a plus, but not a requirement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Treats staff members according to the Company’s Mission, Vision & Values.
- Establish internal and external relationships of mutual trust and respect.
- Have sound knowledge of Upstream Rehabilitation Human Resources Policies and Procedures and provide ongoing support to Managers.
- Ability to handle HR information discreetly and maintain confidentiality.
- Have clear understanding of Federal and State employment laws and regulations for states all states where the Company does business.
- The ability to build positive relationships with all levels of associates.
- Identifies and provides resources to ensure associate and manager needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Acts as an associate relations specialist; coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing associate Coaching and Guidance actions.
- Assist Managers with 90-day and annual performance appraisals as needed.
- Assist with the development, assign and/or conduct HR Management Training, Performance Management Training, ADP Vantage and other designated trainings through Medbridge Knowledge Tracks.
- Assist with development of communications around business changes as well as streamlining HR processes and procedural changes.
- Review Associate Action Forms, send forms for required approvals; process according to established payroll procedure and ensure notifications are sent according to workflow procedure.
- Send email notification and termination checklist to Clinic Director one week prior to associate termination of employment.
- Serve as a trainer and mentor to Human Resource Coordinators; provide backup support as needed.
- Assist with creation of Ad Hoc reporting as requested.
- Manage HR projects and act as team lead as assigned.
- Serve as a back-up Administrator of SilkRoad Onboarding Applications and Associate Electronic E-file System. Maintains HR information and updates as needed.
- Create and maintain Human Resource Generalist Procedures Manual.
- Have sound knowledge of company benefits packages and assist associates with all benefit related concerns.
- Assist with associate benefits including open enrollment and 401(k) plan.
- Participate in HR staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Participate in the local chapter of Society of Human Resource Management activities to build relationships with other HR professionals.
- The ability to travel as needed, including overnight travel.
- Perform other HR functions as assigned.
