    Note: The aforementioned positions are civilian service positions and may be filled as Term or Permanent. Term hires may be converted to a permanent position, without further competition, at a later date.

    DUTIES:

    Acquisition Specialist NH-1101-02, Full Performance Level NH-02: Salary: $40,883 - $97,430/ Per Year

    Employees will gain experience and practical understanding of purchasing procedures to acquire services and supplies in accordance with acquisition laws and regulations. Employees will gain knowledge to serve as advisors to program officials. This position will include participation in a prescribed agenda of on-the-job training.Acquisition Certification- Professional certification in Program Management

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen

    • Desired cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution

    Condition of Employment:

    • May be required to submit a Public or Confidential Financial Disclosure Report

    • Required Administrative Careers with America (ACWA) assessment for positions at GS-05/07 equivalent level

    • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position covered by DAWIA (Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act). Selectees must meet position requirements for certification Professional (should be Foundational Professional is only for 1101 series) within 36 months of entry on duty.

    • Some positions may require up to 10% travel

    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    Recent Graduate:

    A Recent Graduate is a person who was awarded a degree by an institution of higher education not more than two years before the date of the appointment of the applicant. Exception: For a person who has completed a period of obligated service in a uniformed service of more than four years, the degree may be awarded by an institution of higher education not more than four years before the date of the appointment of the applicant.
