    Job Summary

    About the Position: Provide expert technical advice, assistance, and instruction to Army commands on the operation and maintenance of CECOM-managed Long Haul Transmission (LHT) equipment and the timely resolution of hardware, software, maintenance and supply problems.

    Job Description

    • Serve as the LHT STR Equipment Specialist (LAR) with responsibility to develop and implement the Technical Assistance plan for the LHT family of systems throughout their lifecycle
    • Use expert knowledge in configuring, maintaining and upgrading system networks, installing and integrating new hardware and applications
    • Provide expert technical advice, assistance, and instruction to Army commands on the operation and maintenance of CECOM-managed LHT equipment and the timely resolution of hardware, software, maintenance and supply problems

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Providing technical advice, assistance, or instruction to soldiers on the operation and/or maintenance of electronic communications equipment; 2) Investigating trends in electronic communication systems malfunctions and logistics for the causes for unusual down time, and 3) Providing training on electronic communication systems operation and maintenance procedures.
