    Job Description

    • Serve as a Senior ERP (ABAP) Developer for the GCSS-Army Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in the Army Shared Service Center.
    • Provide solution, business process and technical ABAP Developer expertise in the design, development and implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution across multiple systems, especially in the Finance Area.
    • Manage the development of Enterprise Resource Planning activities of the customer.
    • Devise new ways of accomplishing work functions with little or nothing in common except basic information used.
    • Collaborate with primary stakeholders and customers in order to translate needs into technical ABAP/coding requirements.
    • The ERP Developer understands complex project requirements.
    • Leverages expert knowledge of Systems, Application and Products in data processing (SAP) based ERP systems and components and software development lifecycles for Global Combat Support Systems- Army

Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below based on the grade level required of the position being filled: 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Leading System Applications and Products (SAP) Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) programming, debugging, performance tuning, design, develop, test and implement solution for a complex system landscape using SAP ABAP/4 (Advanced Business Application Programming) development workbench. 2.) Updating SAP development standards and leverage cutting edge development tools suited to HANA (high-performance analytic appliance) and 3.) resolve system issues within the financial accounting/control area of Systems Applications Products (SAP) applications; 4) Experience in coaching and training junior system Applications and Products (SAP) Developer team members.
