Job Summary
This position will be filled using Direct-Hire Authority for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in the Department of Defense. This is a TERM position scheduled to last at least ONE YEAR and ONE DAY. A TERM position may be extended to a maximum of six years depending upon the needs of management.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) MATERIALS EXPEDITER ~ without more than normal supervision. Must be able to perform common Materials Expediter tasks including: 1) Ensuring necessary shop Test Measuring and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) is calibrated with minimum disruption; 2) Maintaining records and documents to track; and 3) Retrieving mission items and orders. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision Ability To Use Hand and Power Tools - Electronics Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Theory of Electronics Use of Test Equipment: Electronics PHYSICAL EFFORT Lifts items weighing up to 40 lbs from benches and bins to carts and vice versa. Lifts heavier items with assistance. Uses dollies or hand trucks as required. Regularly handles weights up to 18 kilograms (40 pounds) unassisted, with carries up to 8 meters (25 feet). Occasionally handles weights up to 27 kilograms (60 pounds). Material handling devices and assistance of other workers are available for handling especially heavy items. Heavy exertion is frequent. Constant kneeling, crouching, stooping, and walking are required. WORKING CONDITIONS Regularly exposed to possible injury associated with handling equipment. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) is the Army’s materiel integrator for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) readiness.
