The U.S. Army Materiel Command Legal Center - Aberdeen Proving Ground is participating in an alternative personnel system known as the Personnel Demonstration Project (PDP). The pay band NH-02 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent GS-05 to GS-11. For this recruitment, management has elected to hire at the higher end of the pay band GS-09 to step 1/GS-11 to step 10. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the NH-02/GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes: (1) Performing research to assist attorneys on a variety of legal issues in areas, such as, personnel law, equal opportunity law, procedures for property accountability, and Privacy Act; (2) Preparing and editing a variety of legal documents, such as, requests and answers for the production of documents, requests and answers to interrogatories, and exhibit and witness lists.; AND (3) Assisting attorneys in managing administrative law programs. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
