    Term Appointment NTE Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE One Year. Term appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a term appointment will be appointed/converted into a term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.     General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the NH-01 grade level, which includes assisting with transportation/movement of materials under a traffic management program; OR assisting with duties such as gathering information or creating shipping labels, reports, and Commercial Bills of Ladings (CBL) in an automated system ensuring accuracy. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-01).

    OR Education: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position.

    OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.

    OR Certification: Possession of a certificate as Certified Member, American Society of Transportation and Logistics.
