    OVERVIEW

    • Supply Chain Management manages spend categories, supports Strategic Sourcing strategies and leads contract negotiations for low risk, low complexity products and/or services.
    • Understands basic contract principles and drafts standard contract terms and conditions. Analyzes contract data to identify cost savings opportunities. Acts as the primary liaison for current assigned vendors (Low risk/dollar spend).
    • Escalates and resolves customer service issues.
    • Works with business groups to issue/evaluate RFx opportunities and conduct reverse auctions.
    • Supports the supplier evaluation/selection criteria and coordinates supplier due diligence activities.
    • Supports purchasing programs with suppliers and ongoing measurement, monitoring, and reporting of supplier performance.
    • Teams with senior members of the Strategic Sourcing team to identify and implement continuous improvement strategies related to category effectiveness and supply chain / strategic sourcing processes.
    • Benchmarks industry and category trends.
    • Maintains status and engagement information related to active engagements in Strategic Sourcing systems. Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and escalation procedures.
    • Responsible for meeting all Third Party Service Provider Policy and program requirements.
    • Contributes to management reporting.

    Wells Fargo is currently seeking to build a team of Strategic Sourcing Associates to support the execution of technology sourcing responsibilities. These activities include, but are not limited to:

    • Manages purchasing requests for technology-related spend categories and supports Strategic Sourcing strategies for low-medium risk, low to medium complexity products and/or services.
    • Maintains status and engagement information related to active engagements in Strategic Sourcing systems.
    • Analyzes contract, spend, and invoice data to identify cost savings opportunities.
    • Supports compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and escalation procedures. Understands basic contract principles and standard contract terms and conditions.
    • Acts as liaison to business lines to ensure new products, services and technical developments are compatible with current processes and designs.
    • Acts as a liaison for current assigned vendors.
    • Escalates and resolves customer service issues.
    • Teams with senior members of the Strategic Sourcing team to identify and implement continuous improvement and demand management strategies related to category effectiveness and supply chain processes.
    • Contributes to management reporting. Responsible for completing process analysis, evaluations, and implementation of process improvements.

    Program Duration: June 2020 – July 2021

    Associates will work as full time team members during this 12 month developmental program that includes:

    • Experience across various supply chain management organizations supporting Wells Fargo’s vision and values
    • Formal training opportunities through extensive onboarding and orientation activities and throughout the program to prepare you for a career within Strategic Sourcing at Wells Fargo
    • Mentoring relationships and coaching to support your professional development
    • Participation in Strategic Sourcing specific Educational Sessions and a Developmental Project that supports sourcing line of businesses outside of daily responsibilities
    • Exposure to multiple business lines and Supply Chain Management responsibilities
  • Qualifications

    PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS

    Those considered for the program will be a recent graduate or a Bachelor’s degree candidate with an expected graduation in December 2019 – May/June 2020

    Desired Qualifications

    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills
    • Ability to prepare management level presentations
    • Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
    • Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management
    • Good data analytical and validation skills
    • Knowledge and understanding of business intelligence tools
    • Strong analytical skills with ability to turn findings into executable plans to meet business objectives
    • Ability to learn and work in fast paced environments and adjust to change quickly
    • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management

    Other Desired Qualifications

    • Knowledge and understanding of analysis of business processes and enhancing operations to accomplish business objectives
    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Economics, Business, or Finance
    • Demonstrated supply chain or operations (procurement, inventory, material planning, purchasing, and/or supplier management) job/internship experience with a large organization
    • Contract interpretation skills
