    What's the role?

    As a Summer Intern, you’ll join a team based on your skills and interests, and gain experiences that will help launch your career. We recognize your individuality and will work with you to identify the department that can benefit from your experiences and help to develop your professional and leadership skills.

    In addition to your hands-on project work, you’ll attend a speaker series, designed to teach you about our company, people, and culture. There will also be plenty of opportunity to meet Bloomberg leaders at a variety of networking events. Of course, we also want to give you the chance to get to know your peers, so together you’ll give back to the community at the annual Bloomberg Intern Day of Service, take part in social events including visits to cultural institutions and participate in professional trainings with interns from other departments.

    Throughout the internship, you’ll be supported by your manager, mentor, and recruiter to ensure you receive regular feedback on your work and help navigating the company.

    Interns are placed within one of the business areas below based on strengths, interests, and business needs.

    Financial Solutions: Teams within Bloomberg that support the Bloomberg Professional Service (The Terminal) that delivers real-time data, news and analytics to more than 325,000 subscribers globally. Interns may be hosted in departments such Enterprise Services and Implementation.

    Enterprise Services: Our Enterprise Tech Services team analyzes financial firms' critical systems to develop and execute strategies, evaluate risk, track P&L, lead sales and trading and handle settlement. We help firms manage complexity by delivering hosted solutions tailored to customers' needs. Additionally, our team provides tools, services and expertise to enable firms to simplify tech relationships to drive lower cost of ownership, faster time to market, and improved transparency.

    **Implementation: **We are implementation project managers for different Bloomberg solutions. The implementation team is responsible for all aspects related to the onboarding and implementation of Bloomberg’s Portfolio Enterprise solution recommending and delivering a fully-integrated workflow solution. We cover many compliance, regulation and cost analysis too ls and help clients integrate their transactional data (both internal and external) to the different Bloomberg solutions.

    **Corporate Functions: **Departments committed to helping Bloomberg remain efficient and effective in day-to-day operations Interns may work in departments such as Finance Administration, Accounts Payable, Human Resources, among others.

    **Finance Administration: **The financial Controls Management team oversees financial controls for the firm. We develop and maintain the financial controls environment for the firm, advise on risk governance framework, and protect Bloomberg's assets and reputation.

    Accounts Payable: There are many responsibilities involved in running a business successfully, but maintaining strong control over Accounts Payable is among the most crucial. We are the team to ensure that company's payables are legitimate and accurate, and we provide a professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, as well as consistently maintain controls. You will have an added focus on reducing our open liabilities, exception handling and issue resolution. In this role you will be working on various aspects of Accounts Payable processing in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

    Human Resources: Human Resources is a part of our Corporate Support function. Our HR department is looking for interns to support a variety of functions including recruitment, Learning & Talent Development, Diversity & Inclusion, HR Business Partners, and Global People Services.

    **External Relations: **Teams that manage our brand and the messages we send to the marketplace, our clients, and employees. Internships may be hosted in departments such as Marketing, Events, Corporate Communications, Corporate Philanthropy, among others.

    Corporate Communication: Corporate Communications is a part of our external relations function. They are looking for interns to support our overarching Communications mission.

    Corporate Philanthropy: As a Corporate Philanthropy Intern, you will execute volunteer activities and support Bloomberg's non-profit partnerships. In this role, you will support the planning of programs to harness the expertise of our employees and business resources to strengthen the communities we live in.

    Marketing: As a marketing organization, we centrally work across all of Bloomberg LP. Our mission is to attract new customers, retain existing customers and motivate employees and partners. We use data and insights to build compelling stories for businesses. We leverage content, design and technology to reach and engage our audiences. And, we constantly measure and evolve our programs to achieve the greatest possible impact for our brand. We are a team of experts that bring diverse skills and experiences to develop the stories about our company, products and offerings that shape how people perceive us. We apply forward-thinking ideas across channels and markets to drive demand for our solutions.

    You'll need to have:

    • Experience using Microsoft Suite
    • Demonstrated interest in Bloomberg and our culture
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Creative problem-solving skills
    • Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
    • Currently enrolled in a university
    • Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship now or in the future
    • Available to work for the duration of 10 weeks from May 31st – August 9th, 2024

    Salary Range: 25 - 25 USD Hourly

    The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
