    Department Overview

    Secure Network Services enables the business to operate as an enterprise by delivering highly available, resilient, scalable, performant and secure end-to-end network services. Working in a global model, the SNS team provides security and availability of all networks, firewalls, and load balancers for Raymond James. The SNS Operations team leads the day-to-day functions as it relates to these technologies.

    Seasonal Analyst Job Summary

    Under the direction of Global Manager, Network Operations, and in consultation with Regional Manager, Network Infrastructure, the seasonal associate will be involved with day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, monitoring and implementation of network infrastructure within the global Raymond James environment. The seasonal associate follows established procedures to perform tasks and receives general guidance and direction to perform other work with substantial variety and varied complexity. Some judgment is required to adapt procedures, processes, and techniques to apply to more complex assignments. Routine contact with internal and external customers may be required to exchange basic information.

    This is a temporary role.

    Work Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week for a limited time, determined by department need.

    Start Date: June 2, 2025

    End Date: August 8, 2025

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for up-time, monitoring, reliability, stability and policy maintenance of supported systems.
    • Ensure Keep-The-Lights-On tasks are handled with priority and efficiency.
    • Responsible for up-time, monitoring, reliability, stability and policy maintenance of supported systems.
    • Produces and maintains current description and documentation of knowledge management, policy configuration, including tracking and documenting any changes to policies, procedures and operational tasks.
    • Specified projects and varied assignments relating to network infrastructure.
    • Works independently on assigned projects and tasks, meeting all delivery deadlines.
    • Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.
    • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Knowledge of -

    • Fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a professional office environment.
    • Basic concepts, principles, and practices of an assigned business unit.

    Skill in -

    • LAN/WAN network technologies and related protocols.
    • SDWAN and SASE technologies (preferably Cisco Viptela and Prisma SDWAN/Access)
    • Wireless networking technologies (802.11x).
    • Familiar with automation, monitoring and reporting tools (Ansible, etc) an asset
    • Understanding of Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, SASE, etc.)
    • Converged voice and data infrastructures.
    • Operating standard office equipment and using, or having the ability to learn, required software applications.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a virtual/hybrid team.

    Ability to -

    • Demonstrate a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; remains current with developments and trends in areas of expertise.
    • Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions.

    Educational/Previous Experience Requirements -

    • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, engineering or related majors demonstrating technical aptitude
    • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.

    • None required.

    Location - Hybrid position – St. Petersburg office

    No travel required.
