    Mr. Cooper's summer internship program offers college students the chance to discover what it's like to work at a leading financial services organization. Our interns deliver innovative solutions to real business challenges and build enduring relationships with their manager and an assigned mentor. Our summer internship program begins in June 2025 and ends in August 2025.

    The API Developer Portal Intern will work with our Enterprise Architecture team and will be involved in cutting-edge systems architecture as well as exciting and innovative projects that can significantly enhance their learning and experience.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Researching Developer Portal Solutions - Identifying and researching various developer portal solutions that are compatible with Azure API Gateway.

    • Evaluating Integration Capabilities - Assessing how well these solutions integrate with Azure API Gateway and other Azure services.

    • Analyzing Documentation and Resources Reviewing the quality and comprehensiveness of API documentation, code samples, and reference materials provided by the portal solutions.

    • Testing Self-Subscription and Authentication Verifying the self-subscription process and testing the Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication mechanism.

    • Reporting and Analytics - Evaluating the portal’s capabilities to track API traffic, describe the cost of each API, and generate monthly billing reports.

    • Providing Recommendations - Based on the evaluation, recommending the most suitable developer portal solution for the organization.

    • Prototyping If possible, setting up a prototype or demo of the chosen solution for further assessment by the team.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university or have graduated within one year of start date (June 2025)

    • Majoring in computer science or a related field

    • Familiarity with Azure services, particularly Azure API Gateway, and a basic understanding of API management and developer portal functionalities.

    • Strong analytical skills to assess the various features of developer portal solutions, such as API documentation, code samples, reporting features, and cost analysis.

    • Good written and verbal communication skills to document findings and communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders.

    • An aptitude for problem-solving to navigate any challenges that arise during the evaluation process.

    • Candidates must have authorization to work permanently in the US without the need for sponsorship (Currently, our organization is unable to support candidates that are on OPT, CPT or candidates that will need sponsorship, now or in the future)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • An aptitude for problem-solving to navigate any challenges that arise during the evaluation process.

    • Familiar with API documentation tools and cloud environments
