    Job description

    The Agile Lead role is accountable for the successful delivery of Technology initiatives and ensuring benefits realisation. Initiative outputs may form part of a technology-based change programme, delivery of a technology-only programme, or may be standalone. The scope of initiatives may be global and may span multiple HSBC business areas.

    This role will carry out some or all of the following activities:

    • Oversees and leads working with the IT Product Manager and Technology Platform Teams to align tasks and activities to create the PI Plan

    • Leads delivery using Agile methodologies and builds stakeholder consensus to the PI Plan

    • Supports Technology Platform Teams to deliver the PI Plan goals and objectives - balancing scope, schedule, resourcing, dependencies, communications, budget

    • Works with the IT Product Manager and Technology Platform Teams to drive improvements in productivity through backlog management, maturity in the use of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean), and corresponding management of dependencies

    • Facilitates the team to self-organise; enabling continuous improvement of change and run activities, aligned to the product roadmap and customer expectations

    • Responsible for the coaching and leadership that enable Agile delivery; including facilitating team meetings such as retrospectives, reviews and PI/Sprint planning events

    • Shields the team from distractions during sprints to ensure progress

    • Manage, monitor, and report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to internal stakeholders

    • Provides technical leadership and recommendations to influence decision-making

    • Carries out process discipline and improvements in areas of expertise, such as disciplined agile software delivery, production support processes and continuous DevOps pipelines development

    • Ensures adherence to standard controls and drives teams to achieve compliance to the framework, capability management, Security controls and technology architecture designs

    • Establishes effective governance and controls, in line with Business Transformation Framework, and coordinating across DevOps and cross Global Business/Global Functions delivery as needed

    For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $129,800 and $194,700.

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

    Requirements

    Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.

    • Must have strong RTE or Scrum Master skills, including knowledge of Digital Jira and Confluence

    • Must have strong Servant Leadership skills including be not limited to:

      • Clearing blockers,

      • Establishing an environment where the team can be effective,

      • Addressing team dynamics,

      • Ensuring a good relationship between the team and product owner as well as others outside the team,

      • Protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions

    • Must have proven experience in PI Planning and/or Sprint Planning preparation and facilitation

    • Must have current SAFe Certification

    • Banking Industry / Wealth Management experience is preferred

    For this role, which is expected to be performed in Depew. New York. HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $ 119,500.00 and $ 179,300.00.

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
