FINANCIAL COUNSELOR – NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY 

POTENTIAL FOR $45-$50K/YR

POSITION IS ON SITE IN AUBURNDALE, MA (NEWTON), ONCE TRAINED THERE IS REMOTE FLEXIBILITY.  FULL TIME AND PART TIME , PERFECT FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS!!!

• Not responsible for handling a certain number of calls per day. Each customer interaction is different, so we encourage spending ample time with each customer.

DEPARTMENT: Counseling Department REPORTS TO: Counseling Supervisor/Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

Help counsel financially distressed individuals by creating a budget and helping them determine the best option for their situation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle incoming phone calls from consumers looking for financial help and call back clients who expressed interest in getting financial help.
• Help led customers to a financial decision that works best for their situation.
• Enroll clients into a debt management program if it is their best option.
• Try to find viable ways to help every client balance their budget.
• Chat with potential clients that visit our website.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Experience: Minimum 1-year experience in sales; at least six months in a phone-based environment

• Debt Management Professional Certification (to be obtained within the first six months of employment)

• Other: Basic computer knowledge; BASIC MATHEMATICAL SKILLS; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, standard operating procedures (S.O.P.s); demonstrate telephone etiquette, time management, and attention to detail; ability to interact and work in a team environment; demonstrate ability to comprehend verbal and written information in addition to responding to clients and/or employees.
