    The Software Engineer on the Agile Team Optimization team will play a crucial role in developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and tools tailored to the needs of our internal teams. This individual will work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and various business units to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that improve team efficiency and support decision-making processes.

    Essential Functions

    Application Development:

    • Design and develop software applications and tools to meet the needs of internal stakeholders and support agile practices.

    • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.

    • Integrate and adapt AI models into software applications to improve functionality and performance.

    • Develop and implement database schemas, queries, and integration solutions to ensure seamless data flow and management.

    Collaboration with Stakeholders:

    • Work with product managers and business analysts to gather and understand requirements.

    • Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to team members and stakeholders.

    Testing and Quality Assurance:

    • Develop, automate, and execute unit tests to ensure software functionality and reliability.

    • Design and implement application monitoring to ensure successful user experience.

    Documentation and Support:

    • Create and maintain technical documentation to support developed applications and tools.

    • Provide support and training to internal users to ensure effective utilization of software solutions.

    Continuous Learning and Improvement:

    • Stay updated with the latest developments in software engineering, agile methodologies, and AI technologies.

    • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the continuous enhancement of development workflows and agile practices.

    • Explore and adapt new AI models and algorithms to optimize software development processes.

    This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 2 or more years of work experience
    • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming (OOP) language such as Java, Python, C++, or Ruby.
    • Experience with DevOps environments, practices and tools.
    • Familiarity with MVC (Model-View-Controller) and microservice strategies.
    • Practical understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
    • Curious and driven, always seeking to learn, improve, and innovate in all aspects of the role.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leaders effectively and confidently.

    Additional Information

    ** Work Hours:** Varies upon the needs of the department.

    ** Travel Requirements:** This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

    ** Mental/Physical Requirements:** This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
