Your new role

As our new Associate Consultant, you will be part of our interdisciplinary Chicago, Illinois team. You will work with all levels of expertise from entry level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their fields. Consultants and Managers are part of a continual learning environment where they learn through coaching, mentoring and on-the-job tasks.

• Planning and Conducting Site Investigations, including drilling oversight and logging, monitoring well installation, soil and groundwater sampling as well as subsurface and indoor air monitoring.
• Providing oversight and direction of field activities and communicate with senior staff;
• Assisting with preparing reports and deliverables for submittal to clients and regulatory agencies;
• Assisting with project schedules and budgets; and
• Working in diverse and multi-user team environments

Qualifications

About you

• Minimum requirement is Bachelor’s Degree in Geology/Geosciences, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related degree. Master’s Degree in related fields a plus.
• Candidates must be willing to travel up to 35-50% average over the year and possess a valid driver’s license. Travel may include overnight stays and may be out of state. Travel duration may range from 1-10 days, depending upon the specific requirements of each project.
• Physical requirements of the position include but are not limited to; exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or negligible force constantly to move objects. Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, sit, push/pull, lift and grasp. Employee may be subjected to frequent repetitive motions, weather conditions such as extreme heat/cold, loud noises and hazards (i.e.: proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles). Worker may be required to wear personal protective equipment up to and including a respirator and protective clothing due to potential exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, dusts, gases or poor ventilation. Salary Transparency

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $59,000 and $74,000. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
