ADP OVERVIEW
Established in 2012 with locations in Boston, MA and Palo Alto, CA, the Associate Development Program hires entry-level associates in January and July to embark on a 15-22-month development program that couples heavy technical training with real life experience supporting various teams, markets, and geographies.
TRAINING
The foundation of the Associate Development Program is our hands-on training curriculum. It’s a building-block approach to develop the skills you’ll need to support our dynamic and rapidly growing clients. The training consists of a combination of classroom-style instruction intermixed wit case-study based exercises and live work with our various in-house facilitators. The first 4 - 5 months you’ll learn foundational skills that focus on understanding the unique business models of our clients.With these skills in place you’ll develop and deliver solutions uniquely tailored to both rapidly growing startups and public companies.
ROTATIONS
Following training, you will be imbedded with SVB business units to receive hands-on training in areas such as credit risk assessment, loan portfolio management and client management. You’ll collaborate with business unit members to complete work, develop skills to take on additional responsibilities and hone interests in business units they might join once the program has been completed.
LIFE IN ADP
While in ADP you’ll assist in managing all aspects of teams’ client portfolios. Responsibilities will include assessing and monitoring credit risk, underwriting a wide variety of credit facilities and gaining an understanding of various bank’s sectors, products and services. You will be guided by a management team that has sat in your chair and has decades of collective experience. Significant 1:1 mentorship every step of the way will help you develop the technical and soft skills for a successful career.

Historically, most of our associates go onto careers in client facing roles, and more specifically, areas of Lending such as Credit Solutions, Global Fund Banking, Advisory Services, Private Bank, and Life Sciences.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Whether you're a new college graduate or you have a few years of post-grad professional experience under your belt, our program is the perfect launching pad into the innovation economy. We accept candidates from all majors who have demonstrated a level of interest and basic knowledge in the world of finance (i.e. classes taken, internships and part-time jobs, etc.). We also look for candidates who have a strong base of technical ability coupled with the soft skills needed in order to collaborate and work with various teams both during and after ADP.

BASE PAY:
$72,689.00 - $87,550.00
Actual starting base pay will be determined on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
