Under general supervision, ensures that all patient registrations are created and updated in an accurate and timely manner. Delivers excellent customer service and provides education to patients about practice and insurance plans and requirements. Works as an integral member of the central registration team. Reports to a Patient Billing Supervisor. ** ** Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Skills and Experience: At least 3 years experience in a service-oriented environment. Strong working knowledge of the registration function in an integrated practice management system. Detailed understanding of insurance eligibility in a complex multi-payor setting. Excellent phone and communication skills. Ability to focus on meeting the requirements of both internal and external clients. Ability to function in a fast-paced setting. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
