Position Overview The Global Business Development associate will focus on nonprofit institutional business development opportunities as well as client relationship management. The associate will work with a regional director, as well as other business development and relationship management colleagues, to support all aspects of client relationship management and business development within a specific region of the country. This position requires strong communications and interpersonal skills as the associate will communicate directly with investment professionals at endowments and foundations, CA investment teams, and senior management of the firm. Job Responsibilities * Understand the universe of clients and prospects in the region that they support * Create and maintain a schedule of client and prospect activities in partnership with the regional director with whom they work * Research business opportunities in the region; work in partnership with regional director to build strategies for client management and new business development * Work with investment director in the region to develop outreach efforts to build and maintain relationships with clients and prospects * Participate on calls to fully understand the needs of prospective clients and ensure those needs are reflected in any presentations to those prospective clients * Assist the RFP team with the creation, production, and submission of high-quality Request for Proposal (RFP) responses; prepare responses to follow-up questions * Write communications, as required, to both prospects and clients * Prepare content and exhibits for presentations and proposals as needed * Work with investment teams on any preparation or follow-up for both clients and prospective clients * Coordinate preparation for prospective client meetings, whether on-site at the institutions offices or at the offices of Cambridge Associates * Support follow-up efforts to ensure that client or prospective clients questions or issues are being addressed * Maintain information in CRM system to ensure accurate tracking and analytics * Work across the Global Business Development group on cross-company initiatives Qualifications * BA/BS and 3-5 years of business development or relationship management experience in the investment management or broader financial services industry * Candidate will be required to have, or take and pass, the Series 3 Exam within 90 days of the start of employment * Strong written and oral communication skills * Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize responsibilities * Self-motivated and collaborative; able to work in a team-oriented environment * Desire to speak with prospective and current clients when appropriate * Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Progress toward or interest in the CFA or CAIA program is a plus Please include a cover letter for consideration.
