12-Sep-2018 Req ID 9683BR Business Unit: Finance Position Description and Required Skills: This is a rotational role that will enable the intern to work in several key finance areas (eg. Treasury, Audit, Controller, Finance) over a twelve week period. This role will report directly into one or more key leaders of the Finance Intern Council with an opportunity to work on a combination of special projects and daily tasks across various areas within the Finance organization. The program will also offer the intern an opportunity to work within internal audit with the possibility of a domestic and or international assignment. The intern will be provided the opportunity to participate in key management meetings and to visit production facilities such that he/she will learn about the issues facing the business and gain an understanding of how a corporate financial process works from beginning to end. While all necessary guidance will be provided and made available, significant latitude will be extended in completing the tasks/projects assigned. On a daily basis, direct contact will be with the finance team members sponsoring said tasks/projects. Checkpoint meetings will be scheduled no less frequently than bi-weekly with the supervisor(s) directing the intern. Knowledge and Finance Competencies * Accounting/Financial Reporting- Ability to understand accounting principles and transactions. * Financial Processes- Ability to understand financial processes and procedures. * Systems Expertise-Strong computer skills; knowledge of SAP and BPC a plus.
