    Carolina CAT - Parts Inventory Control Analyst Parts Charlotte, North Carolina Description Position at Carolina CAT - Construction Summary The Parts Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for managing the parts inventory to ensure maximization of customer service with a minimum inventory investment. This role will primarily support Hydraulics Express and Prime Source. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Reviews and orders CAT stock (daily) * Reviews and orders assigned Non-CAT parts including issuing purchase orders (daily) * Sets up non-CAT parts orders in DBS (as required) * Sets up new vendors and SOSs (as requested) * Reviews and submits internal stock transfers (daily) * Reviews and works temp and exhaust report (daily) * Reviews and works non-stock and made stock report (daily) * Reviews and works from Lotus Notes parts stock request (as required) * Responsible for working and generating parts inventory performance reports (monthly) * Works and submits surplus returns (spring & fall) * Works and submits rapid returns (weekly) * Review and generates monthly E&O scrap orders (monthly) * Uploads parts price taps (as required) * Generates parts queries (as requested) * Sets up daily cycle counts (weekly) * Supports other department/inventory control projects * Checks and responds to voice and emails (as required) * Perform general housekeeping duties (weekly) * Promote safety through own work habits (daily) * Promotes teamwork, collaboration and accountability (daily/monthly) Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with a high level of quality/accuracy. Education and/or Experience * High school graduate or equivalent * Preferred 3-5 years of experience in Caterpillar Dealer or similar position. * Proven experience or understanding in the areas of inventory control, parts distribution, service, financial management, human relations, training, and CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. * Ability to think outside current circumstances, develop new and effective solutions and recognizes unique opportunities. * Excellent planning ability, which ties corporate vision to all decisions. * Knowledge of DBS, Excel, SAP, and other system related tools.
