  • Responsibilities

    CME Group is currently looking for a Clearing House summer intern.

    This candidate will assist the Clearing House Compliance Team on day-to-day activities in support of the CME Clearing compliance program. This candidate will have responsibilities, under direct supervision, related to execution of the Clearing House compliance program, regulatory exam activities, enterprise risk management responsibilities, and other initiatives as assigned.

    Principal Accountabilities:

    • Contribute to regulatory compliance activities, including performing compliance assessments and issue management
    • Contribute to the execution of CME Clearing’s control framework, including control identification and development
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of a compliance program consistent with SEC Clearing Agency standards for a new securities clearing house
    • Assist with other various functions of the compliance program as needed
    • Provide timely and high-quality work products for assigned projects
    • Interface and communicate with internal teams and external groups when needed

    Skills / Software Requirements:

    • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, including project management
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Well-developed written, grammatical, and verbal skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Google Workspace
    • Understanding of Information Technology fundamentals preferred but not required

    Education:

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelors/Masters/Advanced Degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Law, or other related course.

    • Position based in Chicago, in-office

Actual pay offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education, location of the internship, and the internship area of focus.
