    The CSEM Manager assists the US Commercial Banking (CMB) Head of Client Selection and Exit Management (CSEM) in coordinating the end to end oversight of operational effectiveness of CSEM processes and procedures, inclusive of Reputational Risk and Client Selection Committee (RRCSC) secretariat responsibilities for the Commercial and Global Banking (GB) Committees. This is a first line of defense remit and established as a function, within the Wholesale Chief Operating Office (WCOO) structure, more formally aligned to the Group Non-Financial Risk (NFR) model.

    Here’s what you can expect:

    As our CSEM Manager, you will evaluate CSEM policy changes and address impacts on processes for operational effectiveness, engage in ongoing development and improvement of UCM-CS, serve as the Secretariat to US CMB and GB RRCSC, and ensure exit decisions are advised by good quality and pertinent information. The role requires the ability to engage with senior team members and business partners to assist in implementing change to align with financial crime mitigation as well as regulatory and procedural requirements to complete the bank’s strategy.

    For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $75,900 and $113,800.

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

    Requirements

    We’re looking for someone who has:

    • Experience operating in a multi-geographic, matrix organization, able to work with Global Management teams as well as the Local Management team with a consistent track record to balance needs across Wholesale businesses.

    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal team members and business partners, across all geographies of HSBC, e.g., Wholesale Client Services, Reputations Risk and Client Selection (RRCSC) teams, and other areas including 2nd Line of defense, Compliance, Internal Audit.

    • Ability to root out fundamental issues while bringing more efficiencies in policies, processes and systemic solutions.

    • Comfort in a fast-paced environment and keeping on top of changing Global and Local business requirements in Financial Crime Risk and Exit Management.

    • Ability to be proactive and able to manage team through Global, Local, Regulatory audits to deadlines.
