We are seeking a talented HR Self-Service Operations Specialist to serve as first line of contact for the Human Resources Department utilizing knowledgebase and HR systems to assist employees in completing their human resource transactions in accordance with service standards. Performs a broad number of administrative/clerical duties in support of the Human Resources Department; maintains confidential records; assists in benefit administration, and employee orientation and materials. Assists in maintaining legal posters, and employee handbook and prepares reports for organizational needs. What You Can Look Forward to * Responds to employee inquiries via HR Help Desk line, online HRIS chat or email, determines the root issue that is being submitted and either assists in resolving the issue or forwards the issue to the appropriate HR employee (Subject Matter Expert); escalates more complex issues to the Sr. Human Resources Representative. * Works with the HR Business Partners and other HR staff to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. * Provides assistance and guidance to employees on the use of the HR and payroll systems, and in completing transactions using the system. * Assists in the processing of transactions including new hires, leave of absence, promotions, salary changes and terminations. * Sets up and maintains confidential HR files including employee files, recruitment, training, benefits and other related files. Oversees the appropriate destruction of employment records, and applications when required. * Assembles new hire and orientation materials and performs new hire orientation. * Mails employee birthday, anniversary, and other cards, orders service awards and prepares them for presentation. * Orders office supplies. * Assists with the administration of benefits, including paperwork, filing, data entry and interaction with management, staff, vendors and outside agencies. * Actively supports our CO-OP culture and embraces our core values of Work as Partners, Communicate Openly and Honestly, Demonstrate Excellence and Champion Change in all interactions. What Youll Need to Succeed * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. * 2 years HR experience. * Prior experience working with an HRIS system or other database preferred. * Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) required. * Outstanding customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong administrative, organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail and accuracy. * Ability to handle highly sensitive information in a confidential manner is required. * Demonstrated ability to work efficient in an extremely fast paced environment under conditions of frequent interruptions. * Position requires the ability to work independently and as a team player. * Must be able to multi task and handle heavy volume of work with multiple deadlines, changing priorities, and interruptions * The ability to be proactive in problem solving is desirable.
