Computer Systems Administrator requires:
• Hardware & software installation
• Windows
• Active Directory
• Frederick, MD with 1 day/week working from home.
• Virtual Machines (VMs)
• Public Trust Clearance is required.
Computer Systems Administrator duties:
• Install and maintain: Setting up and maintaining computer hardware and software, including operating systems and applications
• Configure and troubleshoot: Configuring systems, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support to users
• Security: Maintaining security for networks and systems, including performing security tests and monitoring
• Performance: Evaluating and optimizing network and system performance
• User management: Adding users to networks, assigning security permissions, and training users
• Monitoring: Monitoring data centers and resources to ensure systems are working properly
• Backups and disaster recovery: Performing data backups and disaster recovery operations
• Problem solving: Quickly resolving network problems, such as computer viruses, slow performance, and DNS issues
• Updates: Keeping equipment and software up to date
• Incident response: Responding to incidents and providing problem resolution assistance
