53209 The Documentation Specialist is responsible to ensuring that all
CGA operational documentation, policies and procedures are accurate and
up to date. The role is responsible for providing consultative support
for CGA processes, systems, and clients under limited supervision. The
position provides detailed business solutions involving a variety of
applications and processes with focus on achieving contractual
compliance, interdepartmental efficiencies and quality excellence.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintain professional operational
documentation associated with CGA guidelines, processes and procedures
using technical writing procedures. * Interview internal employees to
effectively create documentation that is accurate and reliable and
aligns to our policies and procedures. * Responsible for creating and
maintaining CGA formal Policies and Procedures * Responsible for
ensuring the operational documentation and CGA policies and procedures
are in sync and in alignment * Recommend refinements and improvements to
existing operational standards, procedures and processes. * Review
client requirements to ensure that CGA policies and operational
procedures are up to date and represent client requirements. * Cultivate
professional relationship with DentaQuest Clients and internal
customers. * Represent CGA in meetings as necessary. * Serve as the
business subject matter expert for CGA workflows, policies and
procedures. * Collaborate with cross functional business partners and
internal team members to implement process and procedural changes as
well as system enhancements to improve operational performance and
compliance. * Provide support with regard to the implementation of
corrective action plans. * Assist with and/or lead special projects. *
Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills * Exceptional oral and
written communication skills. * Sound analytical skills with a strong
working knowledge of the DentaQuest business in order to effectively
translate business needs to solutions. Ability to ask the right
questions. * Operate with minimal direction * Facilitate meetings and
manage small project teams * Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks with tight
deadlines. * Excellent problem solving ability. * Ability to manage
multiple tasks and priorities in a fast paced work environment. *
Excellent organization and prioritization skills. * Self-motivated
individual with an ability to take on additional responsibilities of a
complex and technical nature. * Ability to work in excess of 40 hours
per week as needed or required to meet business objectives. Required
Experience * Bachelors Degree in Communications, Business, or related
field * 2 years of technical business writing experience * 3-5 years
work experience in insurance or related field. * Experience interpreting
client and business requirements and translating requirements into
functional documentation. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in
graphic design * Experience in building documentation in SharePoint *
CGA knowledge and experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Ability to work in a
traditional professional office setting. * Ability to sit at computer
terminal for extended periods of time. * Ability to effectively operate
computer equipment. * Work schedule may vary and is determined by
project schedules. * Ability to travel as projects dictate * Ability to
efficiently operate all job-related office equipment. * Ability to
communicate via telephone and work in virtual teams * The office
