    Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

    • COASTS - SSI Updates (H S I) is handled by Client Admin

    • Reconciliation - Except for HBAP entity

    • Funding - Euroclear (92362), domestic market settlement for offcycle and Failing DVP trades

    • Transaction Fees, Repatriation.

    • Client support (H S I) is handled by Client Admin

    • Allocations for markets Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Peru

    • Pinksheets (ADP) manual instructions - Across all markets

    • GMG - MT 54x, Claims / SBL Fees / FTT, IFTT

    • BONY report, Fail management

    • HUB - Approval (many wire)

    • Markets covered: Brazil, Mexico, Columbia, Peru, Chile, Canada

    • Entities covered: HSI (HSBC Securities USA), HBEU (HSBC Bank PLC, HBAP (HSBC Asia Pacific), HBCE (HSBC France)

    Management of Risk

    • Each employee must be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and acts in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations

    • Each employee must ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues

    • Each employee must promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand

    Decision-Making Responsibility:

    • Independent decision making abilities while engaging Senior Management

    • Ability to apply Industry practices/mandates into BAU functions

    • Identify high risk functions ensuring strong controls are in place to mitigate risk

    Observation of Internal Controls:

    • We use HBEU’s clearance account to settle our H S I client trades in European and Emerging markets

    • Reconciliation, Fail management, Repatriation

    • HBEU has their own payments team

    • H S I Asia Pacific - Funding, reconciliation, claims, penalties, SBL Fees, Transaction fees, Debit and Credit interest

    • HBAP has their own payments team

    • Euroclear - 92362 (H S I)

    • Reconciliation, Funding, Debit and Credit Interest entries

    For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $85,000 and $100,000.

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

    • Computer literacy, knowledge of Excel and Word
    • Detail oriented, good problem solver
    • Should have good communication skills
    • An overall knowledge of all Equity Products
    • Aggressive and quick learner who is able to multi-task
    • Knowledge of ADP, GFW, DTCC (PBS, Settlement Web), Euroclear, GMG, HUB,ETP, SYN
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of Settlement experience
