JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) Business System Product Owner is an Individual Contributor role that works with a wide range of cross-functional sponsors, teams and subject-matter-experts to ensure initiatives within their value stream have defined epics that are developed and deployed in alignment with stated objectives, aligned with completion criteria and within appropriate time and within budget.Generally, this role works with the business lead to define the vision, objectives, epics/features, and success criteria for an assigned value stream and then lead the execution effort within the Agile team and business SME’s. This is inclusive of business roadmap definition through development, testing, execution, and user roll-out.
Essential job functions are listed below:
Identify and define value stream epics and features and document in the form of user stories with completion criteria (in partnership with product lead)
Build and maintain a prioritized 12-18-month value stream roadmap inclusive of business growth and BAU deliverables
Act as primary point of contact for value stream representing business/product lead. Make decisions as appropriate (based on business product lead alignment)
Make decisions during defect identification on behalf of the business.
Recommend solutions proposed by IT team, vendors on behalf of the business.
Manage the project timeline for the business activities.
Partner with leaders to plan product increment and sprint planning sessions
Partner with business lead to identify business needs, generating business cases for the business teams, estimate project costs and benefits (ROI, etc.).
Suggest recommendations for Agile or other related process improvement.
Manage the status reporting and stability for the business side of project-oriented work efforts
Apply Agile processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet stated objectives.
Mentor junior team members to integrate them into the team with the objective of a high performing, self-sustaining team.
Develop and maintain a project plan in partnership with a team of cross-functional business subject-matter-experts.
Track project progress/milestones and provide status reports as necessary.
Identify and define current ‘As-Is’ processes and ‘To-Be’ processes across various business units - includes interviewing business units and providing recommendations and advising on new workflows based on business and systems knowledge.
Work with cross-functional teams including subject matter experts from various departments and conduct “map and gap” analysis.
Conduct and lead requirements gathering sessions and document business needs in the form of epics and user stories.
Provide to SME’s/Business teams recommendations and solutions regarding business requirements.
Configure business workflows in Financial Services Applications, e.g., OFSAA, SAS AML.
Configure User access and user roles in Financial Services Applications, e.g., OFSAA, SAS AML.
Develop methodology documents based on self-initiated interviews, diagrams, surveys and workflow analysis
Analyze requirements and deliver various artifacts if needed: Visio screen mock-ups, Interface designs, Data Mapping
Ensure UAT is embedded in user story execution within each sprint.
Plan and execute end to end UAT as required.Understand the requirements, develop test case scenarios, and execute on test cases.
Lead end user acceptance testing (UAT), communicate, and training to business units.
Develop end user communication plan and artifacts.
Identify training needs and develop or partner with an instructional designer to define, review and test training artifacts.
Design and implement effective change management strategies and plans that include the communication strategy, education and training approach, resistance to change, sustaining change after implementation, measuring expected benefits and ROI.
BASE PAY:
$87,570.00 - $136,906.00
Actual starting base pay will be determined on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
