    Job Description

    The VP, Learning & Development will be responsible for leading the vision, planning, and execution of the learning strategy across Fannie Mae, which will be branded as Fannie Mae University. This officer is a key advisor to senior management on all learning and skills development strategies and sets the learning agenda to enable the company to meet its strategic goals and objectives.

    The VP - Learning and Development role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

    • Develop and continuously refresh the learning and development strategy that ties to the Company's broader talent and business strategies.
    • Develop curricula to guide employee development based on job family, role, and experience.
    • Create the governance structure, develop content, and drive business and division content on the Company's online learning platform.
    • Deliver compelling new hire onboarding trainings that support the overall One Fannie Mae culture.
    • Provide targeted support to new executives coming on board and executives transitioning into new roles.
    • Ensure quality and consistency of training across Fannie Mae and drive delivery.
    • Develop and manage vendor relationships, including ensuring transparency and tracking of vendor spend where facilitation is outsourced, creating common criteria for vendor performance, and supporting divisions in choosing vendors and tracking outcomes.
    • Oversee delivery and measures the impact of the Executive Development Program and Director Development Program to build the pipeline of future leaders.
    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of learning professionals to ensure effective results and performance.
    • Develop and implement metrics to evaluate and provide a basis for continuous improvement of the team's performance and the effectiveness of the team's processes and approaches.
    • Partners with HCC leadership in deployment of learning and development programs.
    • Partners with other CoE’s and HCCs to develop, pilot and deploy both division specific and enterprise-wide learning and development programs.
    • Ensure alignment of learning programs across business units to deliver an effective and consistent learning experience for all employees.
  • Qualifications

    THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

    • 10+ years of experience creating and implementing successful human resource programs that support key business strategies.
    • Proven experience designing and leading L&D programs with a highly professional employee population.
    • Proven record of partnering with line managers and HR leaders to design and implement efficient and effective learning and development programs.
    • Ideally 7+ years of experience leading and managing sizable team(s).
    • Understanding of how human resources contributes to organizational performance and what role learning and development programs play in that performance.
    • Proven experience in successful, broad-based change management.
    • Skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships with executive leaders, understanding their business needs, and translating this into effective learning solutions.
    • Strong intrinsic and working knowledge of learning theory, content, and delivery processes.
    • In-depth understanding of best practices in learning strategy development and execution.
    • Strong business acumen.
